The Russian State Duma in 1994-1997.

The project’s goal was to assess the impact of the 1993 constitutional reform, viz. transition from majoritarian to mixed proportional/majoritarian political representation, on the political spectrum and consolidation of parliamentary parties in Russia. The study was carried out at the Centre for International Studies, Moscow State Institute for International Relations (University) in 1998. The findings were published in (15) Polis (Politicheskie issledovaniya), 1999, No. 1, (30) The State Duma in 1994-1997: The Development of Parliamentary Party System and will be presented at (73) the Fourth Workshop of Parliamentary Scholars and Parliamentarians.
