The project involved the study of socioontological and cognitive models of the Russian parliamentary elite as manifest in parliamentary rhetoric, the character and evolution of political forces represented in the Russian parliament and their relations with the executive. It was a joint project of the Centre for Analysis of Scientific and Industrial Policies, the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the Department of Politics, the University of Leeds, UK and was carried out in 1993-1994. The project was supported by grants from the Social and Economic Research Council (the United Kingdom, the SERC reference No. R000234454) and the Russian Foundation for Fundamental Research.
