Cultural Choice and the Emerging Pattern of International Relations on the Territory of the Former USSR.

The object of inquiry was interaction of sociocultural factors and current political issues and their impact on geopolitical perspectives of post-Soviet states. The project was carried out in the Analytical Centre for Problems of Socioeconomic and Scientific/Technological Development (presently Centre for Analysis of Scientific and Industrial Policies), the Russian Academy of Sciences, in 1992. The findings were presented at (68) at the Fifth Russian-German Seminar on “Science and International Security”, Moscow, 16-18 December 1992) and published in (62) Political Discourse in Transition in Europe 1989-91 (Amsterdam; Philadelphia, PA: John Benjamins Publishing Co., 1998).
